Independent Member for Alfred Cove Dr Janet Woollard is encouraging the community to contribute towards the Anglicare Christmas Giving Appeal.

"Members of the Alfred Cove community can contribute towards the Appeal by dropping off items at my Electorate Office," said Dr Woollard.

"Each year, Anglicare asks for contributions of non-preishable food items or new toys for children up to 14 years of age to help many families in need during the festive period."

Dr Woollard said examples of non-perishable food items include:

• Cereals;
• Canned fruits and vegetables;
• Pasta and pasta sauces;
• Tea, coffee and evaporated or long-life milk; and
• Various types of spreads.

"The donated food and toys can be dropped off at my Electorate Office at Suite 1, 30 Ardross Street between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Thursdays," said Dr Woollard.

"I am hoping that the community will be able to help those among us who may be facing a challenging time during the festive period," said Dr Woollard.
